Tell me more about Calling All Cover Bands?

It's a competition where exclusively unsigned cover bands (3 or more piece bands) are given the opportunity to perform in large entertainment venues, be seen and heard in 'show case' sets with the chance to be up for some great prizes including a paid gig, $10,000 cash and more.

Cover bands are judged on musicianship, crowd interaction, performance, imitation interpretation and attitude; this and a percentage of total crowd votes on the night are tallied up to give the bands a score.

The four highest scoring available bands are then invited to perform in the venues semi-finals and are judged again. The two highest semi-finalists then go on to compete against each other at the Venues Final. The highest scoring band for the Venue Final will then be the winner for that venue and they receive the paid gig at that venue.

All venue winners are then invited to perform at Grand Final at the Hallam Hotel where they are up for the chance to win the big $10,000 named a 'Calling All Cover Bands Grand Final Winner'!

How to get involved...

Applications are being accepted to enter Calling All Cover Bands Competition 3; again this is a competition for exclusively unsigned cover bands (3 or more piece bands) that are looking for that elusive gig and a chance to become one of the next elite Melbourne cover bands.

You may not re-enter the latest competition if you are a previous venue winner
from earlier competitions.
